Bistro on the Beach Description

As the name implies, short of setting up camp on the waterline you will not eat any nearer to the sea than at the Bistro, a fact which has been gratefully accepted by locals and holidaymakers alike who flock in great numbers to enjoy the buzz and informality of this friendly place that offers real value for money.

Bustling by day and romantic by night, the Bistro is loved by local customers as well as those from further afield both for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is cooked to order, using predominantly locally sourced produce wherever possible.

Choose from a fixed price breakfast or dinner menu. At lunchtime, light bites and an á la carte menu is available from 11am till 4.30pm as well as snacks and cakes. Sit back, relax, and let it all happen. Start with homemade fishcakes, or a chicken Caesar salad and move on to a main course of the Bistro's famous fish and chips, or choose from the daily specials.

Events such as wine tastings and themed evenings are organised regularly.

I visited last Sunday, and would just like to say how fantastic the experience was. The stunning views, modern relaxing décor combined with easy listening music only added to my delightful meal. Additionally, I found the service staff approachable, polite and only to willing to help. All in all a lovely afternoon, I highly recommend it.

Superb - this is the only word we can use to describe the Bistro on the Beach at Southbourn Location 21 on Prom Tourist Boards. The food, service, location and views combine to create a quality experience that we could not find anywhere else on Bournemouth prom or town. We had breakfast in the restaurant, ice cream in the afternoon and would recommend eating there.
