Just a short, but appetite-inducing stroll, from Clapham Junction up Lavender Hill is the modern Mediterranean restaurant Black Pepper. This friendly family run restaurant prides itself on looking after its customers and serving them first class food at reasonable prices. From the menu the grilled scallops and octopus salad both make for great starters, whilst main course options of tender steaks and innovative pasta dishes will guarantee you a highly enjoyable meal.

This used to be an Italian gourmet experience, unfortunately and rather strangely they have opted to run two styles of food Persian and Italian - the result is a limited menu lacking direction with over-enthusiastic waiting staff - a great shame to see the demise of a truly great restaurant.
