My partner and I went for a meal last night having had the Bleeding Heart recommended by a friend. A friend indeed as the recommendation was truly well-founded. The staff were friendly and attentive without being over-bearing which is a trait of a lot of French restaurants. The wine list was excellent and the food, well, there are not words to describe the delicate flavours and the melt-in-the-mouth textures. The foie gras was heavenly, the crab tortellini with lobster consommé divine, the sea bass with lobster risotto amazing and the caramelised duck out of this world. The deserts were just as fantastic, and the cheese selection - if I could have managed it I would have tried - as that also looked delicious. Reasonably priced at around £60/head for three courses with good wine and aperitif. Lovely surroundings and a pleasant atmosphere.
