My girlfriend and I went to the Blubeckers at The Pack Horse for Sunday lunch. We had high expectations; the decor and atmosphere of the Pub were fantastic. It was extremely busy; however we were very lucky to get a table almost straight away. Our order was taken really quickly despite the staff clearly being rushed off their feet and being focused on the bustling restaurant area. Our starters arrived at our table within twenty minutes; I had the pate to start which was well presented and a perfect portion size, not too big or too small. The Sunday lunches we ordered were a little lackluster given the price but we were grateful to have them after waiting for just over forty five minutes for them to arrive. That said our somewhat long wait wasn't totally unacceptable as they were very busy and a delay was to be expected. The normal menu looked really good, with hindsight I wish I had selected something from there as it really did look fantastic. I will return to sample some of the excellent dishes on offer; however I will be going on an evening or a weekday lunchtime when hopefully the restaurant isn't so busy.
