Deeply Disappointed (29 March 2008)

We decided to eat there on Easter weekend because of the positive comments on the website but we were deeply disappointed. We didn’t feel welcome and it took a long time for our starters and main course to arrive. Despite being overworked, the young waitress was lovely but the manager left much to be desired. The food was average and the manager did not acknowledge, explain or apologise for the long delays, which would have made a big difference.

The Blue Ball Inn won two categories at the recent 'Somerset Life food and drink awards'. Best dining pub 2006 and Chef of the year 2006...Well deserved. It's nice to see these guys rewarded for their hard work, creativity, consistency and support of local business. It's only a matter of time before they receive nationwide recognition.
