Bluebell, The Description
With its flagstone floors, timber beams and log fire this 500 year old coaching inn has got to be one of the most attractive pubs in Warwickshire. The Bluebell, situated on the High Street in the centre of Henley in Arden, is already a firm favourite with those who appreciate the quality of food and drink available. Leigh and Duncan, who recently took it over, clearly have a passion for the business, which shows in the decor, menu and service.
You could choose from a tempting range of dishes on their modern style menu, relax in an atmosphere of character and enjoy a wide range of drinks, champagnes and fine wines including cult favourite Cloudy Bay. A great selection of vegetarian dishes, a tapas menu perfect for picking and sharing, and yummy desserts complete The Bluebell's extensive offering.
The decor combines modern elegance with the original features of the half timbered site. A large outdoor terrace at the back compliments the main pub and restaurant with pavement seating also available at the front. Their massive refurbishment has very clearly paid dividends inside and out.

My wife and I recently called in for Sunday lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how much it had changed. The original features (flagstones, beams, open fire etc) have all been retained, and given it a very welcoming feel.
The food did not disappoint, the menu was not especially long, but there was still a nice selection of dishes and a several specials on the blackboard. I had whitebait to start and then roast lamb for main. Portions were a good size, so we shared a chocolate brownie which was heavenly.
We are looking forward to trying it again on a Thursday evening (seafood night) - I've heard people say that the fish specials are exceptional.
