Enjoyed a pleasant evening at the Boathouse yesterday. The service was excellent; all the staff were friendly and attentive. We selected from the ‘credit crunch menu’. All three courses were first class, well presented and served promptly. Extremely good value at £14.95 including a half bottle of house wine. Their high standard remains consistent. The delightful setting by the lake is an added bonus.

We went to the Boathouse on Tuesday evening and were glad we had made a reservation as the place was very full. That said we were taken immediately to our table and the staff were very attentive. We both selected meals from their ‘credit crunch menu’. All three courses were really first class, well presented and served promptly. We are pleased to say it was the best meal in the area for the price we can remember having - two three course meals and a bottle of house red for £35.00. It was our 36th anniversary well spent!
