Not unsurprisingly Leicester has as fine a collection of curry houses as you could wish to find this side of Madras and many of them are concentrated in what has come to be known as Curry Mile. Bobby's is one of the well-established locations and has earned itself many accolades for its vegetarian approach to cuisine, but more recently has had a major revamp, making it one of, if not the first retro Indian restaurant in the area. Subtle lighting, moody colours, all combine to give Bobby's a distinction that is the envy of many. Try their Thali, a complete meal of two vegetable curries, dal, plain rice, four buttered chapatis, roasted papadum and plain lassi, all for £6.49.Indian, Vegetarian

I have been eating at Bobby's for about thirty years, since it opened, and have never been disappointed. Having eaten Indian food over a period of 40 years in various parts of India, and many other countries including Dubai, I can honestly say that I have not eaten better vegetarian food than Bobby's anywhere. It is absolutely excellent - and my favourite dish is Bobby's special chaat - yummy!
