Bocca Di Lupo

12 Archer Street, London, W1D 7BB

Bocca di Lupo brings an Italian side of life right in the heart of Soho. Spread over two floors, the décor is unfussy, decorated with paintings by renowned artist Haidee Becker, and if curiosity gets the better of you head to the chef's counter to watch them in action. The menu features dishes that carry distinctive notes of the region in which they originate and ventures into twelve intriguing dialects of Italian cuisine. Take almond granita or spaghetti with lobster, mussels and ginger - both from Sicily, with its sweet whisper of the Barbary Shore - or the risotto of bone marrow, Barolo, and radicchio with an earthy taste of Piedmontese hills. Rustic pork and foie sausages with grano Serrano and porcini could prove to be a gastronomic escape to Trentino.

The legendary Neapolitan sweet tooth is evident is a dessert of brioche 'sandwich' of hazelnut, pistachio and almond gelati.

REVIEWS OF Bocca Di Lupo

Mark (23 November 2008)

You simply must go; this is the best Italian in London without a doubt.

Peter (19 November 2008)

The food was quite spectacular; I've never had Italian food like this. There were definitely no pizzas. The burnt walnut pesto tortelli was really great, as was the slightly bizarre sounding spaghettini with lobster and ginger; you really have to try it to believe. The wine was good and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere was great.
