Bombay Brasserie
Courtfield Road, London, SW7 4QH
Named after the financial capital of India, the Bombay Brasserie evokes the soul and spirit of this vibrant city, offering diners a glimpse into its many pleasant contradictions. Inside it remains lovely and calm, and some design marvels include plush carpets and chandeliers in the main dining area, and the conservatory with rich marble flooring and a show kitchen. It's not hard to recognise that tone of familiarity in almost every Indian menu, but here the kitchen team take the creative route by making dishes sound colourful, and yes, tasty of course. So starters are wittily named 'first impression', followed by 'aquatic stokes' like masala sea bass, and then 'master stokes' such as adraki duck roast with kumquat and ginger chutney and slow cooked lamb shanks in a delicate saffron curry.Named after the financial capital of India, the Bombay Brasserie evokes the soul and spirit of this vibrant city, offering diners a glimpse into its many pleasant contradictions. REVIEWS OF Bombay Brasserie
Ed (12 April 2008)
I always visit this restaurant when I’m in London. The staff are on a roll and the food has been consistently good for over five years. I love this place.
James Smith (14 August 2006)
The decor is fantastic, classic colonial India. Plenty of waiters for your service dressed very smartly. The food is some of the best Indian food I have ever had and I’m very picky with my Indian food because I love it so much. Very fresh and vibrant in taste. Be careful however not to fill up on the poppadoms as I did because the sauces to go with them are excellent!
