Bottle Kiln, The Description
Some restaurants impress you with their magnificence, others with their food, but very few do so with their simplicity. An old converted pottery in West Hallam is home to an art gallery, craft and gift shops, tea rooms, and a quiet Japanese garden, all in the form of one adorable leisure destination called The Bottle Kiln.
The delightful place offers the perfect setting to catch up with friends over lunch, and enjoy delicious homemade soups, quiches, pies, and oven-baked potatoes, puddings, and cakes, or a range of award-winning ground coffees and teas.
A collection of art and craft in the gallery, and design-led cards, stationery, wraps, jewellery, and home accessories in the gift shop makes The Bottle Kiln a great place to wander and browse, or pick up something new and unusual.
According to the owners, a visit to The Bottle Kiln is often the beginning of a long and happy relationship.

Wow, what a find. Thought The Bottle Kiln was a lovely place. The two little gift shops are ideal if you want something special and a little different. The coffee and homemade scones we had were lovely. The members of staff were very friendly. We will be popping in on a monthly basis from now on.

Great place to have lunch, delicious quiches, pies, salads, cakes and drinks! In the summer, it is lovely to eat your meal outside in the garden, and the gift shop/art gallery is splendid!
