Braseria, La Description
Do not go here if you are seeking a cosy a deux. If, however, you have the family and their families' families with you this is the place. It stops short of being conveyor belt but there is nonetheless a feeling closely bordering on over-organisation. That said the ambience and decor is evocative of heady nights in Madrid and you are left in no doubt about the direction of the exercise. You select your table, and then it's off to the chilled cabinets for whatever you wish to have chargrilled, including suckling pig and a good range of fresh seafood. No problem over vegetables - baked potato or chips. The Spanish wines do justice to the food and there is a selection of six house wines at £10.25.

Their service is quite disappointing. The lunches are fine and reasonably priced, but I suggest you don't order a glass of wine that isn't house wine as the bill can shoot up. The place is full of people who don’t line up to choose their food and you can't reserve a table either. For such basic food, I think you end up paying way too much for a bit of ambience.

In a group of thirty people, we sat on three separate tables, but were all given the same table number. When queuing for food, the staff behind the counter moaned because all of us had the same table number. I tried to pour a bottle of wine but a waiter shouting it was his job snatched it out of my hand. The food was ok, but overpriced. You can get steak and chips in a pub for a third of the price. The atmosphere in the evening is nice.
