Brasserie at Ox Pasture Hall

Lady Ediths Drive, Scarborough, YO12 5TD

Ox Pasture Hall has made quite a name for itself as one of those few luxury country house hotels that instils a feeling of striking freshness yet oozing rustic charm and style. Log burner, beamed ceiling and exposed stonework welcome diners into the charming Brasserie, that is open all day for friends, colleagues or just about anyone who'd like to catch up on some food, drink and friendly banter. Their menu is relatively easier on the wallet when compared to the restaurant's, but the cooking is no less appealing and remains attuned to the seasons. A meal that could start with pressed ham hock terrine or tomato and goats' cheese tartlet, followed by chicken and mushroom pie, lamb shank, or grilled calves' liver with sage and onion mash, crispy bacon and red wine sauce.

REVIEWS OF Brasserie at Ox Pasture Hall

Food lover (26 February 2010)

We were in Scarborough and were recommended the Ox Pasture Hall by a local. We arrived at the restaurant and were given a choice to dine off the restaurant or the bistro menu. We chose the Bistro since it was a bit cheaper and I fancied being in the brasserie, near the bar of course. The food was some of the best I have had. I expected a bar meal and received restaurant quality. It was so tasty and well presented. I would recommend Ox Pasture Hall as a food destination.
