I've have been frequenting Brockwells for a good few years. I've always found the staff to be courteous. The welcome was warm and the cuisine was more than merely palatable. I have eaten there on a few occasions, brought parties of people there for celebrations, met colleagues for drinks and even conducted business meetings there. I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone who would like a venue that is attractive, clean, comfortable and central; offering fine fare and drinks at a reasonable price.

After having enjoyed many Tuesday evening revival nights at Brockwells. My friends and l decided to try the evening meal yesterday 24th January at 8 pm. We were most disappointed at the poor service we received. The restaurant was cold and had insufficient heating. The tables were laid bare only with napkin, knife/fork and no condiments. The starters were very bland with no seasoning not even the basic salt and pepper. The two portions of oxtail that were served were fine the third portion had pure bones. The rice and peas had far too much coconut. These concerns were raised to the chef and complimentary drinks were served.
