Brodie's Description
A visit to Brodie's could help homesick Scots find succour by offering plenty of familiar food. The vivacious atmosphere in the restaurant is bolstered by their cheerful owners, Andy and Daavar who love serving an assortment of freshly prepared Caledonian cuisine.
The menu includes Loch Fyne mussels, scallops and Scotch broth, while the popular haggis and black puddings are supplied by McCaskie's of Wemyss Bay. The delicious chicken and black pudding stovies with dauphinoise potatoes might even make you forget grandma's cooking! Wholesome and bold choices might include popes eye steak baby boilers with roast vegetables and a choice of garlic butter, peppercorn or spicy tomato sauce, and monkfish and crayfish tails with bacon in a creamy garlic and white wine sauce.
Scottish bards may have worked overtime to pen poems about wonderful food and their world-beating whisky, but the team at Brodies's seem to enjoy their work by serving affordable food with interesting variations, and whisky.
Your Reviews of Brodie's
Mrs Kane (15 December 2008)
We visited Brodie’s for the first time on Saturday, and liked the atmosphere as soon as we entered. We had the Christmas menu, which was excellent. The food was exceptionally good and the service was excellent. We also got some really good advice on a choice of wine from a charming young gentleman. I was really impressed with the place and will definitely return.
Wee food lover (8 December 2008)
I love Brodie’s. It has a lovely, relaxed décor and staff that are really friendly and attentive. I especially loved the guy playing the piano. It really adds to the atmosphere and is not intrusive. The food is reasonable and really tasty, especially the haggis nachos, and the delicious homemade cakes. Anybody I have recommended it to have also fallen in love with it!
