The Brown Bag is located in historic German Village, close to downtown Columbus, Ohio. Established in nineteen-seventy-four it offers a wide assortment of hot and cold deli favourites, such as the Mohawk stroller and the village addiction. The interior is casually decorated and the restaurant also offers patio seating in the spring through fall.

Among salads choose a tossed salad and add ham, turkey, Swiss and Colby cheese, black olives and egg or pick sun-dried tomato with grilled chicken, fresh mozzarella, toasted pine nuts, black olives on a bed of red leaf. Soups are well represented by Caribbean chicken and vegetable stew, butternut squash and chicken tortilla. Speciality sandwiches include 'curse of '49', braunschweiger on sourdough bread with Muenster cheese, tomato, onion and Mendocino mustard and 'Ben's black and blue', thinly sliced roast beef, gorganzola and Swiss spread grilled on marbled rye. Various bagels and sides are also served.
