Bull Inn, The Description

The Cotswolds abound in small, heart-achingly beautiful towns, often grown from villages by the influence of the wood trade, and Charlbury is a worthy example. An essential feature of such places is a pub with rooms, restaurant, or both. I regard The

Bull as a restaurant with rooms, and jolly comfortable ones at that.

The bar, full of what are known as 'features', leads to the lounge and dining room where deceptively simple meals bring real satisfaction and pleasure. A typical meal might consist of a rich chicken liver terrine, a main course of beef fillet salad, finishing with a range of excellent farmhouse cheeses.

The bar offers fairly typical lighter meals and Greene King and Hook Norton ales make yet another well-kept appearance.
