Very surprised to see the negative reviews so far. I was very impressed with this small quaint restaurant in the middle of the central london tourist hell hole that is Victoria.

The food is a mix of classical and modern British. Apparently all their ingredients is British and sourced from all local Victoria businesses. my smoked cheese souffle was a very nice, airy souffle. the main of braised pigs trotter with sweetbreads and crispy belly was the highlight for me, its not everyones cup of tea eating pigs feet, but ummm, loved it!!!

Service was efficient and friendly and they even offered water without scowling at you.

We booked for their £10 meal deal and turned up just after 8 o’clock to be greeted by a very rude restaurant manager. He first informed us that he had given our table away and then came back with a clipboard with our booking clearly down and said there would be a 15-minute wait. He said we could wait downstairs and have a drink. We went downstairs into what I can only describe as a lobby. We had to ask for drinks and then were left down there and were finally seated at 9.45pm. In-between we asked how long we would have to wait. We had to ask for a menu, selected our meal and were then informed that they first did not have pork. So a few of us who requested the pork then selected the sausage. He then came back and told us that there was no sausage left. Through out all of this we were politely complaining and I had to tell them manager a few times to stop talking over me. They did not offer us anything to make our experience better, not even a glass of wine, and just said that they were busy. After the whole food experience, we then asked if we could order something off the main menu. He only allowed us to select the veal when we ordered pork. This was now 10.30 and we had not eaten. We were all very annoyed and hungry now. We asked him to do something with the bill and he wouldn’t. We said we wanted to leave without eating we paid for two thirds of the wine bill, which we though was fair in the circumstances and got up to leave. They wouldn’t let us out the door and this caused a big row. Appalling evening, really bad service and manners, can’t comment on the food.
