Lord Burlington was a patron of the arts and the most famous amateur architect of the early 18th century. The originals are part of the world famous collection of drawings at Chatsworth.

The tables are polished antique dressed with fine bone china, crystal and silverware. The restaurant has been extended into a conservatory, which looks out over the Italian garden and towards the Wharfedale fells.

REVIEWS OF Burlington Restaurant

John Bagguley (30 June 2008)

It would be easy for one to use the word pretentious about this experience, but that would take away too much from some of the best trained staff it has been my experience to meet in many a long moon. Their service standard and food knowledge is exceptional and whoever is responsible should be congratulated. The food is superb, the wine list beyond belief, and if very expensive, as an occasional extravagant pleasure well worth while. Personally I can't wait to save up to be able to afford my next visit.
