Burpham Country House Hotel dates back to the 18th century and is situated just outside small rural 11th century Arundel, overlooking the castle and the wetlands, and regarded as one of the most beautiful small towns in West Sussex. The refuge offers tranquil and comfortable accommodation to guests wanting to hold conferences, explore the South Downs or simply relax.

The brasserie offers a mix of traditional French and British bistro classics and ingredients are sourced locally and seasonally with many of the vegetables coming from their own organic garden. Specialities consist of local Southdown lamb, fish and rare breed pork.

Expect to find dishes such as ham hock terrine, mussels in Sussex cider with salsa verde and the famous Burpham fishcake; followed by rump of local lamb marinated in oregano and olive oil, tenderloin of Old Spot pork with an apple and mushroom stuffing, and a beautiful vanilla pannacotta with blood oranges or lemon verbena.

The wine list is enterprising with good house wines available at an affordable price and by the glass.
