Bwyty Dylanwad Da Restaurant Description

A splendid little bistro in the Snowdonia National Park, specialising in down to earth, carefully prepared dishes, which are a delight. For an out of town bistro the scope is wide and includes such offerings as lamb casseroled in Burgundian style and a Thai fish stew made with mussels and coconut milk. A good selection of Welsh cheeses, always a delight, live well up to their reputation. The wine list too bears evidence of loving care with friendly prices, clever choices and house wine at £13.50. It will come as no surprise to hear that the Welsh name translates as 'good influence'.

I enjoyed a delightful meal there with my daughter. For starters the crab chowder and leek and caerffili tart was superb. Pan fried hake with a pea and mint cream sauce was delicate yet flavoursome. The pork and apricot casserole was just right - tender and juicy pork. The wine list was great and definitely worth a visit.
