Byblos Harbour

41 Millharbour (Unit 2), The Waterfront, Docklands, London, E14 9NB

Named after a Lebanese city believed to be one among the oldest in the world, Byblos Harbour brings a slice of Lebanon to the Docklands. A bright dining area done up in light shades is offset by dark furniture and striped upholstered chairs, with unrivalled views over the dock. Embarking on a Lebanese meal without their hot and cold mezze is unimaginable, so plates of hummus and tabbouleh may please the vegetarians while jawaneh, char-grilled chicken wings served with a crushed garlic soufflé, and lamb sausages are for the meat lovers. If fish is your idea for a main course there's whole sea bass served with a roasted sesame seed marinade and grilled king prawns with a rich garlic and herb spicy tomato reduction.

The wine list features bins from Bekaa Valley in Lebanon alongside other traditional wine growing regions.

REVIEWS OF Byblos Harbour

Tina (6 January 2009)

This is an excellent restaurant - plenty of off-street parking, outside seating by the river in the summer and large freshly cooked portions. The prices are extremely reasonable; they have a good selection of wines and above all fantastic service. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Noddy (24 November 2008)

This is a fantastic restaurant in a nice setting. It is good to find a Middle East restaurant in the East End. The meat is particularly good.
