Manor House Hotel, set in 365 acres of parkland, is superbly located for the leisure traveller, as it is just outside Bath, that jewel of the West Country with its Roman Baths and magnificent Georgian terraces, as well as being no distance from the glorious Cotswolds. It also boasts a Peter Allis designed golf course, and many fine stately homes, gardens and the unique Westonbirt Arboretum are nearby. The house itself dates back to the 14th century yet its luxurious facilities are very much 21st century with friendly staff to cosset you and anticipate your every need. Using fresh produce from The Manor's own orchard and kitchen garden their brigade of chefs create a spectacular dining experience combined with a cellar to dream of. Fresh herbs, grown in their own gardens and organic ingredients supplied locally are used in their modern English menus.
Impressive is the word that springs to mind to describe the food in their dining room, which undoubtedly matches the surroundings; they refer to it as "English reflecting the atmosphere of the Country House, neither classical nor nouvelle, it has its roots in the first but is influenced by the second, yet at the same time borrowing unashamedly from other cultures". "The freshest of ingredients marrying together to make harmonious combinations, teasing the palate until the next course," is how Richard Davies - Executive Chef, describes what he serves.
Their fixed price menus at lunchtime, £23 for 2 courses to £27.50 for three from Monday to Friday, £31 on Sunday, represent excellent value. Richard Davies and his team at Bybrook Restaurant won their first Michelin Star in the 2009 guide, a tremendous boost for all the Bybrook Restaurant team at The Manor House Hotel, as only three restaurants in Wiltshire hold one of these coveted awards.

REVIEWS OF Bybrook Restaurant at The Manor House Hotel
Peter Lyons (3 January 2006)
I feel fortunate to have had the Bybrook Restaurant recommended to me by a good friend. I must admit that after hearing such a glowing description and having been fortunate enough to have eaten in many fine restaurants I was sceptical. However, this was misplaced as I thoroughly enjoyed every course, eagerly anticipating the next. The food is excellent, remarkably good value and a testament to the dedicated team that lovingly create it.
