Cafe Bintang
93 Kentish Town Road, Camden, London, NW1 8NY
Situated along the busy Kentish Town Road is Café Bintang, a small South East Asian café-restaurant that is indeed proud of its Far East traditions, and this partly comes across in its interior, decorated predominately in warm wooden tones, with plenty of strategically positioned artefacts, adding a touch of authenticity. A combination of Malaysian, Indonesian and Thai cuisines and low prices make this a popular place to dine in, so whilst your neighbours enjoy Thai prawn torpedoes, you could be feasting on crispy tofu bites in native BBQ wadai sauce or Burmese style vegetable pakoras served with dips. The nonya chicken demonstrates a nice balance of lemongrass, galangal, basil and pandan leaf flavours, while the lamb dish, bayas rendang is cooked south Thai way with potatoes, fresh herbs, spices and coconut milk.Situated along the busy Kentish Town Road is Café Bintang, a small South East Asian café-restaurant that is indeed proud of its Far East traditions, and this partly comes across in its interior, decorated predominately in warm wooden tones, with plenty of strategically positioned artefacts, adding a touch of authenticity.

The Bintang platter has a slight degree of elaboration featuring chicken satay, prawn toast, lumpia, seaweed and tuna wrap, ideal for those who'd like to taste a little bit of everything.

REVIEWS OF Cafe Bintang
Rani (2 October 2010)
My friend took me to Bintang! From outside it was not impressive, when I went in, I was surprised and excited to see the bamboo interior which reminded of beautiful Malaysian village scenery, natural and calm, good karma. Also Al Frasco dining area - it has ‘woh factor’. I let my friend order for me as she has been a regular! Food tasted delicious, fresh, good portions and value for money! I loved the food and atmosphere. I definitely will recommend Bintang - the quality of food is five star rating, interior four star rating and for service I give four star. BYO even more attractive!
Minto Mia (29 January 2009)
I travel a lot and have eaten in many restaurants in Europe and Far East, my friends took me to Cafe Bintang and the food was superb, fresh and tasty and the service was excellent. I enjoyed every minute; it is very cosy, relaxed and casual. I believe it is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. I recommend Bintang any time.
