Cafe du Marche, Le Description
Le Café Du Marche is hidden away from passing trade along the tiny Charterhouse Mews, which is good news for fans as if keeps the place from getting too crowded. The décor is simple enough with bare brick walls and a wooden beamed ceiling. Highlights of its French menu include porterhouse steak and navarin of lamb and for a French restaurant is also has a surprisingly good choice of vegetarian dishes too. This is traditional, carefully crafted cuisine in cosy surroundings, made all the more enjoyable if you catch them during one of their popular jazz evenings.
