Cafe Mamma Description
Café Mamma is one of those well known restaurants that everyone wishes had been kept a secret because who wouldn't want to indulge in the delicious delights that it offers without worrying about reservations. But regardless of that, a visit there is warranted simply on the merit of the some of the great Italian food they have. Friendly service, knowledgeable waiting staff and a cosy atmosphere make this a wonderful place to head out with friends or family.
Everything is prepared using fresh and seasonal ingredients and regular favourites such as pastas and pizzas are present. The tagliatelle porcini is excellent and so are some of the desserts; after all which self-respecting Italian restaurant doesn't do a tiramisu. Wines, beers and other tipple quench your thirst suitably and you might even be surprised at the reasonable bill you are presented with at the end of it all.

My family and I have been going to Cafe Mamma for years through their three relocations. The food speaks for itself and the relaxed family run atmosphere is first class. It’s refreshing to have such a great independent restaurant. Highly recommended.

I booked Cafe Mamma in desperation for lunch before the last rugby international at Twickenham as my regular haunt, 'The Wharf' at Teddington was full and could not sit us in spite of flexibility over time, a relatively small party and spending thousands there in the past; indeed the whole town seemed full. Cafe Mamma though said it would be a squeeze but they did accommodate us and it could not have been more helpful. The food and drink was first class and the bill very reasonable. They like 'an atmosphere'. We are going back there for the next match.
