The food was freshly prepared, good value + excellent coffee. I liked the quirky film history connection in its name and decoration. The owner Dominique is originally from France and so there are some French influences in the menu. Cafe Melies has a friendly, relaxing spacious feel and it's the sort of local cafe everyone should have nearby - a refreshing change from all the clone-like big chain cafes.
