With inspiration from the sensual landscape of Provence, Café Provencal has built a solid reputation, spanning more than a decade, in the Conejo Valley region of California. Located near the Civic Arts Plaza, this French restaurant has gained immense popularity, and the rustic Mediterranean décor is offset by the billowing silk ceiling, a touch of luxury to add class no doubt.

For lunch, there's the ubiquitous onion soup followed by Panko crusted scallops, mixed greens, golden raisins, lychees, berries and orange vinaigrette whilst lighter options such as crêpes and omelettes hold their own appeal. In the mellow light of the evening, an intimate dinner could involve filet of sole served with lemon butter sauce while typical French specialities such as escargots, frog legs and sweetbreads make their presence felt too. The selection of wines leans more towards France although local wineries have also been duly represented. Do remember to sample their lavender crème brûlée for dessert!
