‘Oh wow! These prices are low’ - I said to my girlfriend checking out the menu outside. I have lived in Canterbury for four years and have eaten almost everywhere but never in this huge green gem. We went in apprehensively and were greeted by fantastic staff and a wonderful décor. Everything was neat and tidy, everywhere your eyes gazed was interesting, and whilst trying hard to find a fault was simply impressed all round. I asked why there was no one else in the restaurant at 5 PM, apparently they had just closed but seated us anyway. They are a lunch only restaurant and the menu is geared towards this, not massive portions for dinner but more than ample for lunch. A fantastic selection of cakes sits in a case next to the kitchen, and the three we tried were heavenly. I strongly recommend this seamless mash-up of the best bits other Canterbury restaurants have to offer coupled with very reasonable prices. Viva la Venezia.

We visited Caffe Venezia yesterday - very good and friendly service and the veggie breakfast was excellent. We'd definitely visit again when next in Canterbury.
