For the coffee connoisseur, Caffe Vergnano offers its special espresso blend made with seven single-origin beans. If you wish, add a dash of foamed milk or whipped cream, or a shot of grappa. For a leisurely meal here, there?s choice of shallow fried zucchini blossoms with mozzarella and marinated anchovies, Parma ham with melon and rocket or fresh crab meat salad with lemon and diced celery to begin with. Second course options include fusilli with chicken and artichoke, braised knuckle of veal with saffron risotto, lamb cutlets in a beer and basil batter and grilled queen scallops with watercress salad. Round off with coffee pannacotta, tiramisu Vergnano or traditional baked cheesecake. A selection of wines and beers adds to the pleasure.
