Cambio de Tercio Description
Traditional bold reds and yellows decorate this smart Spanish restaurant. Cambio featured in the distinguished Tio Pepe Carlton London Restaurant Awards for 2003. The name of the restaurant is taken from a term used by matadors and the artwork pushes this matador theme yet again. The food avoids the usual tapas options and sticks with starters and mains instead, highlights of which include Serrano ham croquettes followed by hake with clams, there's also the option of a degustation menu at £30.

I used to be a big fan of this restaurant, but won't be going back again. I took a client there on 26th July and found the whole experience very uncomfortable.
The food was still good, although with a tendency to be overly fussy at times. However, the waiters stood over us the whole time, unnecessarily topping up our glasses, clearing plates before we had finished each course and making us feel like they wanted us to get out so that they could reuse the table. I am a big fan of unobtrusive attentive service but this really felt like harassment!
As I was with a client I did not make a fuss at the time, but the next day I wrote to the restaurant manager to advise them of my bad experience. I have received no response. If you are looking for excellent Spanish cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere then I would suggest you go elsewhere!
