We found this restaurant a few years ago when just looking for somewhere to have a bite to eat. The food is so good that we now do the hour's drive every year that we are up in Scotland just to go to the Capercaillie. The soups are thick, warming and seem to be completely fresh and homemade. The main courses are large, and there's a good choice of different types of food from haggis, neaps and tatties to venison pie to a complete Christmas dinner. The puddings are also large. A two course lunch meal for four with drinks came to £65. A warm welcome, a couple of well behaved dogs, and a great view of the river just down from the Falls of Dochart makes this place well worth searching out.
