Cardamom, a sleekly designed Indian Restaurant in the well-heeled city of Cardiff, has an elegant décor marked by wenge floors, stylish wooden furniture and cream coloured walls hung with aesthetic art works.

Ilyas Miah and his team brings to the table an excellent variety of Indian dishes and starters such as meat samosa, pastry filled with minced meat, tandoori lamb chops and sheek kabab. For mains prawn balti, a curry dish cooked with spiced yogurt and herbs, and chicken tikka saag, chicken cooked with spinach, make for good choices. Delicacies with extra onions such as lamb dupaiza and the fiery madras curry dishes represent traditional Indian cooking and go equally well with breads such as naan, roti and parantas as they do with rice.
