My friend and I went to Carmela's as I was staying overnight in Horsham for a job interview. The receptionist at the Travelodge recommended it and if you show your room pass at Carmela's, you get a free bottle of wine with your meal. I must say we were very impressd, it's a really nice cosy place, the waitress was lovely, very friendly and welcoming and the owner too. The starter and main courses we had were great, really tasty and a really important point to note is that they had been checked by food hygiene that day and their certificate was in the window and they were rated as being a "5" - the highest mark you can get - overall very impressed.

Last Sunday - 27th March 2011 - it was the second time we have eaten at Carmela. Once again the food was fresh and tasty. The menu offers a wide selection including a variety of fish dishes. Another risotto dish would be a welcome addition. Above all, the service from the owner was of a high order. It was friendly, attentive and genuinely focused on us having a good time.
