Cassons Restaurant & Bar Description

If you enjoy a really characterful building in the countryside where you are looked after and pampered by front of house and then enjoy a pleasantly imaginative and well-cooked meal with sensibly priced wines, possibly Viv - in the kitchen - and Cass might just have the answer for you.

Start with duck ham and game and pistachio sausage on celeriac remoulade, or Selsey crab and smoked salmon mousse on cucumber with pea shoots, crab and lime sauce, then indulge in fillet of pure breed beef with seared foie gras, or spiced belly of pork with crackling, Dijon puree, caramelised apples, buttered greens with pancetta, cider and honey jus. Keep some space in reserve for crème brûlée surprise with marinated strawberries, honeycomb, and tarragon.

Cassons location is a tactical tour de force, with Goodwood, Fontwell and Chichester Theatre located nearby.

Thank you so much for making our tenth wedding anniversary such a special occasion. Everything about the experience was truly excellent, from the moment you welcomed us so warmly to our final departure several hours later, full of sublime food and a little too much fine wine, but hey, it was a special occasion so who's counting units? Cass was the perfect host, making us feel at home straight away. Viv's food was absolutely delicious, really imaginative dishes wonderfully cooked and presented with real flair - I'm genuinely hard-pushed to pick a favourite of the six dishes we tried. It was delightful to meet you both and a real pleasure to spend some time in your wonderful restaurant. We will be back.

I had a lovely meal at Cassons, and was amazed by the last customers' review. The food was delicious, the service great and the ambience cosy and atmospheric. I would highly recommend them.
