Cavendish Restaurant Description
An exuberance of Tudor revival this well-located restaurant looks out over London from its eyrie not far from Elstree Studios. As one might expect there is a richness of timber and panelling, which works. The English menu has, like the country itself, been heightened by influences well beyond its shores with pleasing results. You might start with pan-seared scallop in Thai broth and pesto risotto. Progress to roast breast of duck with pot-roast beetroot, shitake mushrooms, fondant potatoes and tagliatelle of wild mushrooms. Prices represent good value for money and house wine at £13.50 supports an interesting wine list.
