In a world haunted by political correctness and unappreciated irony it is doubly refreshing to come across somewhere like The Evesham Hotel. The primary burden of their cause is a lack of pretension, hence their 'Un-Mucked About' menu (for such is its title), a wide range of dishes, most of them very recognisable and welcome, a large selection for vegetarians and the children getting their very own menu. The restaurant is Regency in style, the atmosphere is cheerful and the customers clearly love it. Such down to earth honesty in approach is almost as refreshing as the contents of the seriously produced wine list.
