The Cedar Room Restaurant was refurbished in April 1997 incorporating the old style panelling with the new décor and was so named due to an old Cedar Tree, which was positioned right outside the Restaurant. It was apparently one of the oldest Cedar Trees in England but unfortunately it is no longer standing. You can still see where it was on the front lawn outside the windows of the Restaurant.International

For a 4 star hotel the food is very disappointing and expensive, but a nice view out of the window of the rabbits on the lawn. The vegetarian in particular is very bland and the crème brûlée was more like egg custard. However, the buffet breakfast has a good range of foods - full English, fruit, cereals and baked goods - it's worth a try, but again it's expensive.
