Cellar Gascon

Located in a former Lyons Tea House, next to Smithfield market, is Club Gascon, an elegant restaurant enchanting lovers of French food and wine. In the annex is Cellar Gascon, a lovely French wine bar attracting a young and lively crowd that are drawn in by the hip décor, featuring rich tones, comfortable seating and low lighting.

However, to simply drink here would be missing out, as the food, in the form of small tapas style portions, is all part of the experience. Try dishes such as farmhouse ham from Bearne, stuffed baby squids with bordelaise sauce and horseradish, or warm Gascony pie of duck and wild mushrooms that are all inspired by the local cuisine of southwest France. There's also a memorable dessert selection like prunes in Armagnac, crème brûlée and green apple pulp and a cheese platter.

The wine list is constantly evolving and superbly paired to match the seasonal food on offer.
