Champers Description

Not exactly what you might expect from the name, this is a Spanish theme-bar, and a good one at that. There are over 120 choices when it comes to wine and the atmosphere is lively and hip. Most of the Spanish dishes are there ranging through tapas to tortillas to steaks. A popular place during the day with a £7.95 set lunch, really excellent value, while their reasonably priced a la carte and tapas menu at dinner presents an opportunity to have an evening's pleasure without the formality of having to eat at a certain time.

If you want the best steak or seafood in town, this is the place to go. Excellent service and amazing food and wine. Can't stay away from the place. La Monde upstairs has a slightly different menu and is not as loud as Champers but has a great romantic atmosphere.

Champers has been great for steaks and seafood for more than twenty years. It's still my favourite restaurant in Cardiff, upstairs was lively and fun but downstairs was simple and still great food.
