Chapel Bar & Dining Room

The Bazaar, West Street, Oundle, PE8 4EJ

The Chapel Bar and Dining Room opened its doors to the people of the bustling market town of Oundle in 2009. The new yet beautifully ageing refuge can be found on the first floor of a lovingly restored 19th century West Street Wesleyan chapel, as a welcoming venue that exudes character and charm. The dining room menu offers British and Mediterranean cuisine, depends on seasonal produce, and is therefore regularly changing. Take the evening menu, for instance, which opens with nibbles of pickled quail's eggs before it presents char-grilled tiger prawns and chorizo bruschetta with lemon dressing. Main courses embrace roast Portobello mushrooms with spinach and taleggio, and a rocket and basil dressing, or loin of Seven Wells pork with onion soubise, thyme potato cake, Savoy cabbage, and smoked bacon.

REVIEWS OF Chapel Bar & Dining Room

Chris & Gemma (30 January 2011)

What a wonderful meal we've had every time we've been - the chefs altering menu and inspiration within the dishes are truly mouth watering. I would very much advise people to go and see for themselves.

Bean (28 October 2009)

It’s beautifully decorated and has interesting and importantly tasty food combinations and excellent service. We had lunch there – goats’ cheese tart and pan-fried gnocchi, which were both very nice indeed. I was impressed by the choice of breads we were offered, it's these little things that make the difference, after all!
