Chautari
8 Lombard Street, Lichfield, WS13 6DR
Chautari must be one of the few places in the West Midlands where you can enjoy genuine Nepalese cuisine, their Head Chef Bijay Gurung previously worked at the Bombay Bicycle Club restaurant for over twelve years where he was responsible for introducing new, delicious and exciting dishes; now he is working that same magic in Lichfield.Indian, Nepalese

REVIEWS OF Chautari
Keith Le Pla (21 October 2010)
We have now visited a number of times after being introduced by friends. Always excellent food and warm and friendly service!
Donna Gardner (19 May 2010)
The Chautari is one of those hidden gems. I have eaten there on many occasions and introduced it to lots of friends. The quality of the food is superb. There's a good range of food from milder, creamy dishes to hot and spicey. The menu also has a good range of vegetable dishes, so good for veggies. Their breads are tasty and fresh. The dishes are slow-cooked so meats are succulent and full of flavour and the flavours well developed. I'm not on commission; I just know good food and good service when I experience it. This by far outclasses any Lichfield restaurant and holds its own among many I've tried elsewhere. Forget the over-processed, E-number filled curry house. This is honest fresh, slow cooked heaven! Check out the ice-cold Ghurkha beer and the staff are lovely too.
