Cheese Society, The Description
The Cheese Society may well turn out to be every cheesophiles preferred destination; from Organic Cotswold Blue and Kelsey to Isle of Mull it's all there waiting to be discovered and savoured. The monthly assortment of five cheeses, ranging from the traditional styles to modern creamy ones, complements each other in flavour and strength.
The airy café is constantly abuzz with cheese connoisseurs and even non-cheese eaters. Open for breakfast from 10.00 am. Lunch is served until 4pm. Nibble on a snack bowl of black olives and feta cubes, warm garlic crostini, cheese stuffed hot chillies,as you contemplate the menu. Then move on to try hot focaccia melts and Ploughman's with liberal chunks of local Lincolnshire Poacher and Lincoln Blue. Fondue, Double baked cheese souffle or a French mountain dish of tartiflette where layers of potato, onion, and sun dried tomatoes are topped with Reblochon cheese and baked with double cream could give you a mountain top experience.
The range of homemade desserts are divine, some are available to take home should you not quite be able to manage another morsel. The cafe specialises in sourcing as much local produce as possible. For example, the eggs that are used are organic, free-range and locally produced by Henrietta's eggs.

I discovered it by accident and had the rarebit, it was fabulous. I will definitely go back again. It’s very helpful and has a friendly staff.

I stumbled upon this lovely little place completely by accident and popped in for lunch. I had a wonderful couscous salad and my husband had the goats’ cheese salad, both tasted lovely and were surprisingly filling. The puddings were very inviting, unfortunately we had run out of time at the car park, so had to dash off which was a great shame, but this will give us an incentive to revisit.
