Cherry House Restaurant

I went to the Cherry House last night on recommendation, the service was very good, and the wine list was quite comprehensive, I went for the 8oz fillet steak (rare) which was also very nice, but the cheese cake that I had for pudding was worst than ever. It tasted synthetic. It was a great shame as I had enjoyed every aspect on the evening until the last course, which I felt tainted the whole experience.

We happened to fall upon this delightful restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed a 3 course Sunday lunch which at £18.50 including coffee and petit fours was fantastic value. The varied menu included a Liver parfait and Parma ham and Melon and the mains included a delicious rib eye beef with fabulous "yorkies" and a roast pork and salmon. All this was accompanied with well cooked vegetables beautifully presented. The six different choices of dessert finished off a fine meal which was plentiful (even with my abundant appetite) and in an atmosphere and with a service standard as good as anywhere we have eaten. Highly recommended and if you go you may see me there as I will be going back.
