Cheyne Walk Brasserie

50 Cheyne Walk, Chelsea, London, SW3 5LR

Once a Victorian Pub, 50 Cheyne Walk has morphed into an elegant, modern brasserie and salon. The venue offers simple yet luminously executed brasserie dishes in a luxurious, Chlesea riverside setting. The pale olive exterior hints at the Gallic charm within, while frosted windows are reminiscent of a Rive Gauche brasserie. Inside old meets new: sky blue banquettes sit alongside carver chairs in rich crimson, while simple wood floors contrast with dazzling ornate chandeliers. At the centre of the Belle Epoque dining room is an open grill where much of the Provencal inspired bill of fare is prepared. Start with onion soup and scallops wrapped in Parma ham with grilled asparagus and a tomato confit, followed by, stuffed turkey with prunes and hazelnuts, gnocchi and thyme velouté.

REVIEWS OF Cheyne Walk Brasserie

Diana Wheatley (22 December 2007)

The restaurant is utterly charming and the food is delicious. It has a great ambience. The meat and fish from the grill is a must try with delicious smoky flavour. I shall be going back.

Jurij Senyshyn (13 April 2005)

Over priced, service is sporadic, fabulous views from upstairs but not from your ground floor table, vastly overrated and if not addressed will eventually fizzle out like its predecessor.
