Chez Lindsay
11 Hill Rise, Richmond-upon-Thames, TW10 6UQ
Situated at the foot of Richmond Hill, Chez Lindsay is a favourite with locals, French ex-pats and restaurant critics for its authentic Breton cooking and relaxed atmosphere. Oysters, seafood and fish take pride of place on the menu but meat lovers will find a tempting selection of Breton dishes such as poulet à la Bretonne (chicken with cider, apple and cream sauce). The restaurant is celebrated, however, for its superb galettes - savoury buckwheat pancakes stuffed with a variety of fillings, many vegetarian friendly. Not unsurprisingly they serve excellent Breton cider (not altogether unlike what used to be generally available in this country); in fact a range of French sparkling ciders feature large on the liquid choices, together with a predominantly French wine list with house wines from £11.Situated at the foot of Richmond Hill, Chez Lindsay is a favourite with locals, French ex-pats and restaurant critics for its authentic Breton cooking and relaxed atmosphere. REVIEWS OF Chez Lindsay
Mrs Behnegad (31 January 2009)
I found Chez Lindsay very family unfriendly. Earlier this evening my sister, four month old baby and I went into Chez Lindsay for dinner. After waiting ten minutes to be seen, a member of staff instantly noticed that we had a baby in a pram and decided there were no tables available when there were plenty. I was disappointed by her attitude and asked to speak to the manager. She violently explained that she is the owner and that there is no place for us. After expressing dismay by her behaviour she started screaming at me and being very offensive and pointing her face in front of me. My sister and I were extremely disgusted and shocked by such behaviour as it wasn’t warranted. I wouldn’t recommend any parents with babies to go this restaurant.
Mr & Mrs Wyatt (6 September 2006)
Having celebrated our sons 18th birthday here on 20th august 2006 our immediate reaction was WOW. We had a fantastic night - only tainted by an over zealous traffic warden - and would very strongly recommend it. Food was good, service first class and of a standard we hope to be able to match when we open our own place in France early in the New Year!!

With quality food, friendly staff, quick service and excellent value for money, Nando's is a great place to eat. Don't expect identikit, pre-fab restaurant interiors which are usually a staple of the larger chains; each restaurant is tailored to its local surroundings and customers, offering up a unique restaurant experience to go with the equally unique taste of legendary, Portuguese, Peri-Peri chicken.
