Chilli Banana might sound like a strange name for a Thai restaurant, but visit any of their outlets and you'll forget everything else and be delighted with what they have to offer. This one is located next door to The King's Arms Hotel, another lovely place to enjoy a quick drink.

The Wilmslow outlet of Chilli Banana is decorated with Thai artefacts, and rich woodcarvings that give it a very traditional feel. It's with an English pub means that customers have a heady mix of food and drink.

And talking of food, an extensive choice of starters could include Thai fish cakes, pork and prawn toast, laab gai or spicy minted chicken salad, and a fragrant tom ka jay soup with coconut milk, lemon grass, and galangal.
