China Rose
16 South Parade, Bawtry, Doncaster, DN10 6JH
China Rose is a family run restaurant in Bawtry, nine miles south of Doncaster. Their speciality is Cantonese cuisine, which they do very well, lifting the gloom in this culinary desert with a wide-ranging menu that is particularly strong on the appetisers, where the house hors d'oeuvres heads up a list that contains squid meuniere, mussels in black bean sauce, and paper-wrapped king prawns to name but a few. Their special set dinners are well-priced and go far beyond the often unimaginative conglomeration of dishes that weave their way through the cheapest ingredients with deadly accuracy in this field. For those who believe that lobster should arrive at table with minimum interference, the China Rose version might give cause for doubt, and seafood features strongly in the menu.China Rose is a family run restaurant in Bawtry, nine miles south of Doncaster. The décor is convincing, comfortable and unobtrusive. At only three miles from the A1/A1(M) junction at Granada Services, Blyth China Rose is well worth the detour.

REVIEWS OF China Rose
Ray Bennett (24 April 2010)
We have used the China Rose since it was on market hill, and never had a complaint about it, and that is going back over twenty years, in fact twenty four years.
Martin (7 February 2009)
This is such a special place to eat. The members of staff are very friendly and look after your every need. The food is always freshly cooked and you just cannot leave anything no matter how full you are as the food is superb. It may be a little expensive here but it is worth every penny for the service, décor and food. It is just a superb place especially for those special times.
