Chopper Lump Description
Time was when wine bars seemed to be in recession, but Davy's have put that right. With 32 wine bars, most in the centre of London, offering a dazzling choice of refreshment well supported by quality food, this is an equation not to be missed. The Chopper Lump, located round the corner from Oxford Circus Tube Station, is traditionally styled and has a romantic, candlelit atmosphere.
Amongst starters, there could be potted crab served with hot toast followed by charcoal grilled swordfish steak, drizzled with infused lemon oil and served with rocket mashed potatoes and green beans. There's also the famed grilled rib-eye steak, an award winning beef from Donald Russell butchers, served with a grilled tomato and hand cut chipped potatoes. Finish with fresh strawberries served with Cornish clotted cream. The wine list at Davy's is faultless, featuring excellent choices from their own house label as well as well known global choices.
