Chor Bizarre Description

Having recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, Chor Bizarre has been judged as 'One of the 50 most romantic places in the world' and 'amongst the Top 10 Restaurants in London for Fun and Atmosphere' by the Independent as well as the 'The best North Indian Restaurant in the UK' by the Cobra Good Curry Guide.

Capturing the spirit of the 'Chor Bazaar' or 'thieves market' within its kaleidoscopic interior, Chor Bizarre serves authentic Indian cuisine in a unique atmosphere. It is the sister restaurant of its Delhi branch, in fact many of the staff have come over from the Delhi restaurant to guarantee that true authentic touch. In keeping with the name the restaurant is kitted out with a whole host of Indian artefacts making this a rather fun setting.

Dishes cover various Indian regional specialities with an emphasis on Kashmiri cooking and the wine list shows that great care has been taken to find wines that complement the spices used in the food.

You can also enjoy Chai Bazaar - London's very own Indian tea bar, India is the world's largest tea producer and with this in mind, Chai Bazaar have rekindled the art of making the perfect cup of tea. Chai Bazaar also evokes a true Indian bazaar setting with traditional kettles, samovars and urns and perfectly purveys the tea culture in India.

Customers can enjoy 30 types of tea, which include the popular Assam and Darjeeling to more specialist varieties such as Kashmiri Kehwa to Masala Chai - served in earthen kullars (cups) and designer teas that are blended with fruit juices or alcohol. The teas come with a selection of delicious savouries and sweets that marry perfectly in taste and flavour. Savoury dishes such as kathi rolls and hot pakoras and Indian sweets such as aam ki kheer and kulfi falooda are matched thus creating a sumptuous and alternative afternoon tea.

Indian High Tea with a selection of savouries and sweets is available at £8.50 per person each day between 11.30am and 5.30pm.
